Worth.

"Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." -Psalm 34:5

So often we underestimate the very truth that an almighty God has paid our debts for us. It's like going into a store, wanting some exquisite item, knowing you can't afford it, then being told that it has already been bought...in FULL. (God's love, grace, and justice are like this; only BETTER, much better.) So why is it that we as women put down our very own value? We have been set free from a sin that could be so over-bearing. Our problems, burdens, and trials we have faced or will face are not to be done alone.

Gwen Smith from Girlfriends in God writes, "When we speak of the worth of something, we often consider it to be a relative term. One that has shifting factors. For example, last week the cute jacket was thirty-nine dollars, and now it's nineteen ninety-nine. The jacket didn't change, but it’s perceived worth did. Now, consider the worth of a woman. Are the factors that determine her value based upon variable, shifting factors or are they based upon fixed factors? Seems to be a silly question, doesn't it? Fixed, of course! But, if the answer is so glaringly obvious, why do we struggle so much as women with feeling worthless? Why do we walk around feeling like that red lined jacket? I think it's because we often allow variable earthly factors to define our worth."

Are you being treated in ways that our Heavenly God would see as righteous? Are you treating others in a way that would bring disappointment in the eyes of a Father? You are worth it all, because God said so. Are you going to be another girl who hates that pimple on your chin, that hair that is out of place, that mistake you once made? It is forgiven! Shine like the true worth you are and stand out and shine like the superwoman you are.

Cast your cares on Jesus, Matthew 11:28-30 reads, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked. "This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor."

Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."

I think we forget how strong women can be in the Lord, we tend to refrain from serving him to our full capability. A womans beauty can only be best accounted for by how much in love she is with the Lord, and how we use the gifts he gives us to best bring him praise.

    I love you Ms. Aurora

  2. Friend... this blessed my heart so abundantly. Tears came to my eyes as I really let that sink in. You are a woman who fears the Lord, worthy of praise. :D
